Building the Masters of Digital Media (MDM) Program

6-8pm Tue 6 Feb 2007

Unique opportunities and challenges presented by creating collaborative educational opportunities. Christa Ovenell will discuss the proposed program and planned future directions, and entertain questions about the campus as a whole and the program specifically.

The MDM is an innovative, full-time professional graduate degree program planned for Great Northern Way Campus in Vancouver. Graduates will receive a master’s degree bearing the seals of Vancouver’s four major post secondary institutions: University of British Columbia, Simon Frase University, British Columbia Institute of Technology and Emily Carr Institute of Art + Design. The new, multi-million dollar Centre for Digital Media will house the Masters in Digital Media Program. Students enrolled in the professional graduate degree program will benefit from a new facility that will perfectly complement the MDM program and encourage interaction with partners in the New Media industry.
