Join us for a presentation by Michella Frosch about the Vancouver Sculpture Biennale, leading to legacies beyond 2010.
The
Vancouver Sculpture Biennale is a public art festival, mounted every
two years, featuring the work of some of the world’s most acclaimed
contemporary sculptors. A new focus has become public works involving
new media.
Leora Kornfeld of Ubiquity Interactive will give a
presentation about metroCode.net’s innovative cellphone tour to augment
the pieces on display in the parks, walkways, and plazas of Vancouver.
Michella Frosch is CEO of Crescende Enterprises Ltd., a
company she founded in 2001 for the purpose of creating a series of
exhibition tours world-wide of artefacts from private collections
around the world.
From 1995–1997 she played a key role in the
development and writing of the strategic plan for Illuminated
Filmworks, the official sub-license film agency of the Vatican Library.
She also worked with a team of people to create the vision and
sponsorship program for an international film festival for the United
Nations, for their conference on Population and Development in Cairo.
